Fishing Report – Vancouver & Fraser Valley 25-02-13

Had the opportunity to head out on the river on Sunday with my friend Kenny. What a cosmic day on the water sturgeon fishing! We hit the water at 8:30am and weren’t expecting the day we we were in for! The first spot Kenny and I hit was one of my favorite holes on the Fraser River for winter time, but after an hour there was just no sign of river giants. After a bit of decision making we pulled the trigger on going for a bit of a ride, 20kms down river to another “sweetspot”. That was the best call of the day! Less then two minutes after anchor drop it was game on! The first two hour’s was hectic with fish being landed left, right, and center, rod tips constantly doing the sturgie bounce. Double headers, it was insanity! Then over the next few hours it was steady sturgeon fishing. After all was said and done 21 fish to the boat and smiles that will last a lifetime, because every time I think of this day…how could I not smile?
