The Dept of Fisheries and Oceans has opened the main stem Fraser River to sportfishing for pink salmon! Effective September 11th until the 21st recreational anglers are able to harvest 2 pink salmon from the Fraser River, in the freshwater portion, from the Mission Railway bridge up to the  Highway 1 Bridge at Hope. There is a bait ban in effect and all other salmon need to be released carefully.
