Forty five minutes east of Chilliwack, British Columbia is a beautiful stretch of the Fraser River that offers a truly remarkable fishing experience. It is the beginning portion of what we call the Fraser River Canyon. Here, the river gets narrower, a lot deeper, and also, a lot faster. Most of it is simply unfishable, but the areas that are. provide some amazing fishing opportunities.

Our Canyon Sturgeon Fishing Camp provides a true escape from the every day stresses of life. Depending on water levels, we’ve selected 2 incredible and comfortable camp locations for you to enjoy and admire, both on the sandy banks of the Fraser River. The towering canyon walls, the rugged mountainous terrain, and the impressive power of the Fraser River are what make these locations so spectacular.

This camp is designed for smaller groups that are looking for that private and exclusive getaway. You’ll enjoy the comfort of sleeping in spacious wall tents on your own secluded beach, with the sound of rushing water at your doorstep. Just You, Your Group, Your Camp Crew, AND NO ONE ELSE.

Great River Fishing Adventures is not willing to compromise this outstanding resource, so the camp is limited to 6 anglers at a time. We have 3 outstanding guides who live to fish this river and know it and its fish intimately.  Only two guide boats will run each day, with three anglers per boat, and with more water available than both boats could come close to covering in a week, we will have you fishing in what we believe to be one of the most amazing places in the world.

Situated in the heart of British Columbia`s Costal Mountains lies a hidden trout and salmon river.  Accessible by boat only over the 157 square mile Harrison Lake, the Lillooet valley truly is a land that time forgot. The length and size of Harrison Lake, as well as the ability of the weather to turn the lake into a churning ocean like sea of cresting swells, make this a foreboding journey to those who are ill equipped.  At Great River Fishing Adventures we have exceptional equipment and experienced boat handlers to make the trip safe and easy.

Nestled in a secluded spot on the bank of the Lillooet River, the Lillooet River Camp is a remote wilderness wall tent camp with separate guest, guide and eating quarters.  All of the amenities, though rustic, are here, including an outhouse with an incredible view of the river and a hot shower.  The camp is all inclusive and all meals are prepared by our fantastic camp chef.

Staying at the camp allows you the opportunity to fish above the canyon on the LillooetThis area of the river rarely sees anglers and usually the only foot prints are those you made. During your stay at the camp, there will be at least one day spent above the canyon.

With virtually no travel time from the camp to the fishing, the amount of time spent on the water actually fishing, is greatly increased.  This means more fish on the rods and more photos in your camera.  In fact, we have many guests hitting fishing camp waters before breakfast in the morning and getting a few fish under their belt before the day even begins.

Although the camp is a diehard fly fisher’s dream, it is also an incredible experience for the non-fisher person as well. The surrounding mountain vistas and sparkling glaciers are sure to take you breath away.  The wildlife viewing is spectacular with exceptional populations of deer, bears, and eagles, as well as a plethora of other species regularly seen in their natural habitat.
