Dean’s Dino Diaries – 25-01-13

It a nice time of the year to catch up on some of the trips and do a few blogs to share some of the great experiences I am so fortunate to have with clients and friends. I will be putting together a number of these as time allows and hopefully you will enjoy the pictures and reading.

John Sturgeon Fishing on the Fraser River

John Showing off his Dino !

I would like to introduce you to great friend and client John Warrington.  Over the years John invites his key clients to join him on the river for various adventures. He knows that the teambuilding that occurs on the river really helps in solidifying his business relationships as they experience the magic of fishing.  Now John is a little biased and loves to fish.   He has a passion for Sturgeon fishing and the conservation measures and makes sure to get his clients hands on when on the water when tagging and scanning. They go home with a fun day of catching, a new appreciation for fishing and a great day of valuable time with John.

Over the many years one of John’s favorite trips he put together was our Wilderness Fly Fishing Instructional camp. John took 12 of his clients on this trip for 3 days and it is still the most talked about by those clients today. Learning the art of fly fishing, catching some fish, mingling at the camp location on a wilderness river is only a part of the bonding that is done.  We are looking to revisit this trip in the coming years for John and others like him.

John and I have had many fun days over the years shared on the river and it was only last year that I was able to have him and his clients experience the Mighty Fraser Canyon Experience. A journey by jet boat leaving Hope, B.C, up through the roaring rivers, seeing the traditional First Nations fishing areas and their dry rack fishery is something most have the privilege to see. It was apparent John seen value in these days and we are planning for many more like this in the future. Unspoiled area’s with high mountainous terrain and gorge canyon sections that are over 200 feet deep and learning the story of lady Franklin Rock, all part of a day journey. Catching fish seems to be not as important as the learning and the people you are sharing this with.

I personally thank you John, for your business over the years, your passion for great experiences and the friendship we have formed. I am truly one of the luckiest persons to enjoy being with and meeting such great people on my journey of life.
