"The best value for money
route I have found is to fly to Seattle USA, have a night in an airport
motel, the next day hiring a car and driving north through the border with
Canada to Chilliwack, BC, where you will be based. This drive is the
equivalent of say London to York and takes 3½ hours, including the border
crossing. It is a very relaxed affair – set the cruise control to 55-60
mph and let the road unroll. I normally make a day of this by setting off
at 9am, spend an hour or so for a leisurely lunch along the way, take in a
shopping mall on route (little gifts to return home with), finally
arriving at Chilliwack during the afternoon, fully relaxed and ready for
fishing the next day."
